How in a Category 6 cable, where all the strands are used to transmit data, is also transmitted by POE power simultaneously?

POE stands for Power Over Ethernet, which means power transmission over a network cable. Some advanced systems, such as VOIP, use special equipment such as IP telephones. This type of equipment requires DC voltage during installation and commissioning, which due to the extent of private and public organizations and the growing need for optimal use of LAN bandwidth within each organization and due to the increasing costs of cable Telecommunication and ordinary telephone equipment (PBX) and the addition of personnel in a certain period of time, and therefore in every organization, the need to use POE technology is increasingly felt.
In order to provide power for DC equipment, we have two general ways ahead:
1-Use of ordinary communication equipment such as Adapter, etc.
2-Device support for POE technology.
- In the first case, due to the large number of people in organizations and the lack of quality of this category of goods and the relatively high cost of the total number of equipment and due to the variable voltage required for POE equipment, this method is not appropriate and cost-effective, But in the second case, considering that the devices used support POE technology, we can in this type of technology without the need for separate electrical cabling and using network cables in order to implement and operate the LAN Have been installed, to provide the electricity required for this type of equipment.
- As you know, the 100 MHz network uses only two pairs of Cat5e cables, and the other two pairs are unused in this technology. The POE switch uses two pairs that do not pass data to send power to the device, so strands 4, 5, 7 and 8 are responsible for transmitting power. The point is that GIGABYTE networks use all eight strands of Cat6 cable to send data, yet all POE power is still transmitted to the fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth strands.
for example:
If we consider the operating system of the phones, when the phone is not busy, the line voltage is 48 volts DC (direct) and when the phone rings and calls are made, the line voltage becomes 8 volts. Now consider that all conversations (audio signals) are transmitted analogly on the same line on which 8 volts are located.
POE devices implement this operation through the Phantom Feeding technique, which means that they transmit DC voltage simultaneously on a series of wires that are transmitting data, without conflicting with each other.
In view of the above-mentioned explanations, Leviton factory has produced a series of Cat 6 cables with Plenum coating, which has the following specifications, specifically for network cables with the characteristic of application in POE solutions.
? All physical and mechanical specifications of this cable include ANSI / TIA-568-C.2, ISO / IEC 11801 Class E, IEC 61156-5 and EN50137 standards, as well as RoHS compliant standards.
? This type of IEEE 802.3 standard cable, which includes 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet), 100BASE-T (Fast Ethernet) and 10BASE-T (10G) networks, is fully supported.
? This type of cable fully supports the & 802.3at (POE +) IEEE 802.3AF (POE) standards.
? This type of cable has a type of non-metallic cross separator which increases the signal transmission power along the cable and also this part causes less sensitivity on the cable due to the interference of EMI and RFI waves (noise).
In order to use the camera or IP phones that require bandwidth (at least 10 G) in the Back Bone and connect the main equipment to each other from the Cat 6A cable with LSZH main cover and NOISE-CANCELING HELIX (NcHT) technology in the main cover system ( Jacket) There is a cable that is completely resistant to environmental influences such as RFI & EMI. This type of cable also has the property of application in POE solutions, the technical specifications of which are as follows:
? Leviton's proprietary design prevents severe external echoes.
? This type of cable has a very small outer diameter (Outer Diameter) of 7.3 mm and due to the very small diameter increases the ability to increase the capacity of the nodes in a very small volume of trunking systems and also the required air flow to cool Increases keeping equipment active.
? This type of cable eliminates the need for earthing equipment and other equipment related to earthing.
? In this type of cable, due to its small diameter and light weight, as well as its great flexibility, it greatly reduces the overall installation time in the workshop, and consequently reduces the installation and workshop costs drastically.
? The quality and performance of this cable has been independently tested by UL International Laboratories to fully meet the ANSI / TIA Cat6A and ISO 11801 standards.
? This type of cable is produced with LSZH sheath with standard specification IEC 60332 in Raiser mode and with LSZH sheath with IEC 60332-3 standard specification.
? This type of cable is used for Power Over Ethernet (POE) solutions approved by IEEE 802.3af (POE), 802.3 at (POE +) and Cisco UPoE (60w) standards.
