As one of the hard charging humans behind TUSHY and a soon-to-be-offish-announced game-changing biotech startup, my days are a whirlwind of innovation, creativity, and yes, a seemingly endless stream of requests for my time, advice, and resources.?

With hundreds of messages flooding my inbox monthly, you might wonder, "How in the world can I get Miki's attention amidst all this noise?" Well, saddle up, because I'm about to share some insider tips on how to stand out and potentially collaborate with me.

Lead with Value: “How can I help you?” Vs “How can you help me?”?

Let's cut to the chase. The key to catching my eye is leading with value. Before asking for anything, think about what you can offer. For example, if you can get your school newspaper to write a feature on my business, that's music to my ears. Send me the link, and then, only then, ask your question.

Human nature is to offer something back when you’ve been given something. If you can lead with, “How can I help you?”, doors will open wide. If you lead with, “How can you help me?” first, doors will slam in your face.

It's a simple formula: give first, then receive.

Align with My Mission: Are We on the Same Frequency?

I'm all about shaking up the status quo, whether it's in consumer goods, women’s issues, bio-tech, or sustainability. If your project or idea aligns with my mission and resonates with my spirit of innovation and creativity, you're already halfway there. Show me how your vision complements mine, and you'll have my attention.

Be Clear and Concise: What Exactly Do You Want?

Time is my most precious commodity. When you reach out, be clear and concise about what you're seeking. Whether it's advice, investment, or collaboration, get to the point. Respect my time, and I'll be more inclined to engage.

Showcase Your Uniqueness: What Makes YOU Stand Out?

Timing is Everything: When to Reach Out

Timing can be a dealbreaker. If I've just launched a new product or announced a major milestone, it might not be the best time to seek my attention. Do your homework, keep an eye on my ventures, and choose your moment wisely.
