How Caroline Wanga, Laila Ali and Maryam Banikarim Inspire Me + Join me! ?? Upcoming Webinar with U.S. Bank & McKesson
Lately I’ve been focused on what inspires and connects me, and looking for ways to welcome that inspiration and connection into my life.
Here’s the reality: Women leaders continue to face extreme hurdles to advancement, which have been even more challenging with the ongoing pandemic and the reimagining of our lives as we reemerge, forever changed.?To overcome the hurdles and clarify our own path to success, women leaders need greater inspiration and access to community.
My team recently announced the lineup for the?2022 Women in Leadership (WIL) Institute?, and I am thrilled. The women leaders we will hear from will inspire us all; here are a few of them:
Caroline A. Wanga, CEO of ESSENCE, has worked her way up from entry-level positions to the highest of senior leadership roles. I so appreciate her “real-talk” delivery, witty thought leadership and unmitigated perspective on democratizing authenticity as a differentiator for individuals and organizations.
We all have something to learn from the most successful woman in the history of women’s boxing.?Laila Ali, member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame and CEO of Laila Ali Lifestyle Brand, combines her athlete mindset with her purposeful leadership to inspire us to ascend to new heights. That’s a knockout!
Maryam Banikarim, who is the Chief Marketing Officer at Nextdoor and the former Global CMO of Hyatt, Gannett, NBC Universal and Univision, is a purpose-driven leader who leads organizations through sweeping transformation and growth. She also brings an important personal perspective: Maryam captured national attention with her?viral New York Times essay?on taking a “pause” at the height of her highly successful career.
While the speakers always bring magic to the stage, the real differentiator at WIL is the community of support that surrounds us as we deepen our learning in the Master Classes, process and plan in the Learning Teams, and engage with one another online and in person. Now in our 23rd consecutive year, the word that emerges consistently when I hear others describe WIL is?TRANSFORMATIVE.
I hope you and leaders from your organization will?join us this November 1-4, 2022, in person in Orlando, Florida, or virtually.?Early Bird Pricing is going on now, so it’s the best time to secure a pass to join us.
