It never happened before but today-
For a 7 am flight, I woke up at 5:31, God knows how! I was in the cab at 5:38, Airport at 6:13, then security check at 6:20, finally at 6:24, I was in the queue for boarding & at 6:35, I was on my seat!
How Carlsen helped me at 5:31 am
1. Like a Blitz #chess game, I booked cab in few seconds!??
2. I woke up with a lost position. 89 mins for flight to fly and I'm 38 km away! But, Never give up was only thought in my mind! ????
3. From totally lost positions, Carlsen has not only saved games to draw but has won those games with a turnaround ??
4. When other top Grandmasters give up, Carlsen begins! ??
5. I focused ONLY on the next step - So, I went to hotel entrance (to avoid U turn of 2 mins), I paid cab driver before (to save 2 min), told him calmly about time in hand and not to compromise on safety, at airport while running I was clear not to fall down and get injured. (People have lost games to protect one pawn!) ??
6. In the queue, what I needed was water, and I got orange juice!????
7. I was ahead of many people in the queue ?
8. Bus that takes you to flight, I stood just to the door and was first to come out ????
9. I entered flight first and walked in typical manner of Carlsen!???

10. From missing flight with 89 mins in hand to entering flight first, it was a satisfying moment ??
11. I'm not Carlsen at Chess, I'm aspiring to be Carlsen in #Life!??
P.S. Magnus Carlsen is a 5 time World Chess Champion & World No. 1 for a decade! Arguably Greatest of of All time!
From point no. 6 my stance from extremely tensed to defensive started changing with gaining confidence every passing minute!
There are numerous games of Carlsen where from dead lost position, he has pushed his opponents to limits to equalise the game and then catch some inaccuracy of opponent to turn it around by applying pressure, thus winning the game!
Some thoughts from Carlsen himself that helped me today!
On the board chess is fun & often you end up playing off the board chess too!
Just before i sign off, I had my lifetime moment when I had met World Champion in 2019! & the aura he carries is just electrifying!

2 年They say that the world belongs to those who get up early. That's not true. The world belongs to those who are happy to get up — in your case even though were you ‘Just in time’, your champion mindset triggered the chain of choices that rendered the favourable outcomes & led you to win over adverse circumstances, of course the orange juice was a bounty collected during stint. Empowering read as always :)
