One of LinkedIn's coolest features is that it functions as an extended CV/resume. LinkedIn allows you to build a personal brand that can help you network. In order to receive remote jobs instead of only local ones, you need to optimise your profile for remote work.?

Here are 3 things you need to know:

1. If you’re open to remote opportunities, you can make it easier for recruiters to find you in LinkedIn search results. Simply, go to the LinkedIn settings and specify that you are open to remote opportunities as well as jobs in other places.? You can up to 5 job titles and remote locations- use them all!
2. Your LinkedIn summary, skills section, and experience section should also contain relevant keywords for your targeted job/s so that you will be even more searchable.
3. A good way to get recruiters and professionals to click on your profile is to have a professional picture of you and a catchy headline. Depending on the industry and role you’re targeting, show a little of your personality and stand out.
4. The importance of networking cannot be overstated, whether it is for building a community or for remote job hunting. You can start by checking LinkedIn to find out who you know that works at the remote companies you’re interested in. A referral from someone you know can be a great way to get a remote job!
