How can you maximize your Leadership Impact?

How can you maximize your Leadership Impact?

??Do you want to create a positive impact? ??

Then read on...

Every leader I speak to wants to create a "positive impact" & yet we are not taught how to do this. ??

You have not been taught how to be the person you want to be in the world, today.

Yet every one of us chooses how we act & behave each & every day. ??

We're not conscious of how these everyday actions & behaviours correlate to the impact we have & how we can increase or maximize our impact. ??

How conscious are you, as a leader, that your actions align with the impact you want to make?

Your thinking drives your behaviours & actions, which in turn drives your results i.e. the impact you can make.

This is the case at an individual level, a team level & at a global level.

Increasing your consciousness at these three levels enables leaders to increase their impact:

Level 1. Courage: Awareness of Self - knowing themselves well, aligning & focusing on what's important to them & finding ways to use their strengths;

Level 2. Connection: to others, ability to tune in to multiple contexts & boldly re-design what's not working;

Level 3. Contribution: the ability to maximize & amplify the impact of self & others.

Most leaders I see who want are struggling to maximize their impact are primarily struggling at Level 1: Courage (Self-Awareness).

We are often taught during childhood that it is "selfish" to focus on ourselves. It's not unusual that this is taken to an extreme whereby they focus on everyone else's wants & needs. Many have even "learnt" to tune out their own needs, wants & even strengths. ??

?? This is a disservice to the world because it diminishes the impact you can have. ??

Many people who want to create a positive impact are trying to work at Level 2: Connect & Level 3: Contribution; however without increasing their Level 1: Courage (Self Awareness) the impact they can have at the other two levels is vastly diminished.

? My plea to all leaders whoever you are:

Please take reading this as a sign to look ?? at how you can increase your own self-awareness. Get curious about what makes you unique, with the intention of how you can use this to contribute more, anywhere in your life.

Every single human can become more self-aware in how they show up in the world. But specifically for leaders who want to create an impact, this is vital for you to maximize the impact you can make! ??

We desperately need more people who can maximize & amplify the impact of themselves & others in every area of our world today! ??

The areas you can start with are:

?? your personal values - what's important to you;

?? your strengths - what's your USP, what are you good at;

?? your life story - what's made you into who you are today?

What I find is often we "normalize" who we are, what's important to us & what we're good at until we can't see them anymore. If we don't value them then unfortunately no one else will! ??

I will give you some links & tips in the comments below to take these first steps to help anyone who wants to increase the positive impact they make in the world.

?? If this is useful then please share with someone you know who's trying to create a positive impact in the world or who you really appreciate & value. ??

?? We need each & every one of us to transform our world & create a more sustainable future for life on Earth.

Let's do this together

??

Sarah

The areas you can start with are: ?? your personal values - here are two personal values assessments https://personalvalu.es/?https://www.valuescentre.com/tools-assessments/pva/; ?? your strengths - I mostly use the Clifton strengths test with my clients https://www.gallup.com/cliftonstrengths/en/252137/home.aspx; ?? your life story - what's made you into who you are today - write it out long hand or just write out the things in your life that had an impact on you, how that changed you & why that's important to who you are today. It is useful to do these activities alongside someone else, someone you trust to help you reflect & see a different perspective. Someone who will also hold you accountable for doing this if you decide that's what you want to do. This can be a friend, a colleague, sponsor, mentor or coach.? I know I can help but I also do not have the capacity to help everyone who needs support with these activities. I would love you to reach out to me & if I can squeeze you into one of my group or individual programs then I will do, however, please be aware that I may need to suggest another one of my many amazing coaching community to support you if me & my team do not have the capacity. .continued below
