How can you go viral?
Creative designs, captivating images and continuous activity on your social media- yet feel something is lacking? You may have tried all the tricks up your sleeve to create ingenious advertisements to promote your brand, but possibly not got the response you expected. Is there a way to break this jinx and crack that one idea which helps you go viral? Well, there can’t be a definitive answer to this question. But from my experience, I’ve learnt one small hack that can get you closer to contagion.
Newspapers!
Yes, newspapers. In an age that follows the ‘less news, more views’ mantra, we like to keep ourselves abreast with the know-what of the world and advise you to do the same. Alertness and a prompt application of juicy, sensational, controversial and hard-hitting news will surely take your brand a very long way.
Let’s have a look at how we hit the nail on the head with Chef’s Basket, a popular food brand known for their lip-smacking pastas. It was May 2015 and the brand was in dire need to create a pamphlet that would raise eyebrows and creatively publicize how their ready-to-eat pastas were not only tasty and pocket friendly but also fully natural. With the dramatic Maggi ban that hit the headlines of every newspaper, the news junkies in our team immediately capitalized on this situation and designed a pamphlet that took a subtle jibe at Maggi, by highlighting the ‘Lead’ and twisting the copy in this simple yet witty design. The artwork was made to look lucid, so as to emphasize on Chef Basket’s health quotient. With 40,000 copies of this cheeky art being circulated across 7 cities in the country, eyebrows were most certainly raised.
So here’s what really helps- Vigilance and an inclination towards current affairs, which will indisputably help you create content beyond your confines.
