How can you get what you want without stressing yourself?

The human mind

The human mind can be divided into two different parts i.e. the conscious and the unconscious mind. According to research conducted by George Miller in 1956, the conscious part of our mind has the ability to hold onto information within the parameter of 5 plus or minus.

For example: Bring in your mind the names of different brands that you can recall. How many did you get? You may have at least seven the rest is in our subconscious or unconscious mind which we can recall if we decide to sit down take a pen and paper and decide to write down.

The conscious mind and unconscious mind

The conscious mind can be viewed as the top of the iceberg which is only one-tenth of the entire structure. Both these minds have their own utility in our lives.

The conscious mind helps us plan, organize, and make sense. while the unconscious is the automated set of scripts that have been written in us.

These scripts when written unconsciously create lots of unwanted thoughts and behaviors in your life. We will be looking into exposing these scripts within us and re-writing them according to our wisdom and understanding.

The monkey mind

Yogis in India liken the unconscious mind to a mischievous monkey, always leaping from tree to tree. The way to keep this monkey occupied and out of mischief is to stick a pole in the ground and direct the monkey to climb up and down the pole. If your conscious mind does not provide a direction for your unconscious mind, it will look to find it wherever it can.

A young directionless boy, for example, may find that joining a street gang provides a structure for his life and he will then find that he gets direction from the leader of the gang and the gang laws. Your unconscious mind will do the same thing.

The five clouds

In NLP we call these unconscious blocks the five clouds that hide the sun. The sun is clear, shining, and full of energy and enthusiasm. As we go through life and experience different events we collect these clouds of negative thinking, negative emotion, inner conflict, limiting belief, and bad behavior that obstruct us from seeing our potential and possibility.

I am sharing with you the four techniques in NLP we use to deal with these clouds:

1)?????Re-framing: Re-framing is a way in which we take any situation and frame it creatively to empower us. For example, when something undesirable happens in our lives, we normally begin to look at everything that was not right. With the technique of re-framing, we learn the technique to shift our perceptions from negative to positive and re-wire ourselves with new and empowering understandings.

2)?????Time Line Therapy: Time Line Therapy was created by the late great founder of the Tad James Company. TimeLine Therapy is magical in which it allows you to naturally get into a trance and expand your awareness to heal traumatic events of the past. We carry this emotional baggage that influences our lives every day. As soon as we let go, we shift our state of being or our subtle energy field. This has a major impact on our lives.

3)?????Thirteen steps to change your limiting beliefs: Limiting beliefs are also part of our unconscious programs that have been written unconsciously because of events we have experienced in the past. These thirteen steps are done in a way that cuts the limiting belief from its roots and finishes it off. For example, A common limiting belief among people is “I am not good enough” and after the thirteen steps it changes into a more empowering belief like “I am enough and can do anything I want to”. With this practice, they become a part of your body not just your conscious mind and that is what makes the difference.

4)?????Value realization: Value realization is another powerful process that is done to bring more clarity into our lives. With so many things to do and some many areas to attend to, we forget the most important ones. This also happens unconsciously and creates inner conflict in our lives. A part of us wants to be a successful business person and a part wants to spend more time with the family. After this process, an individual has crystal clarity in their lives, and making decisions comes with congruency and confidence.
