For women who are busy with work and family life, finding time to exercise can be a real challenge. That being said, incorporating regular exercise into your routine is one of the best things you can do, to maintain good physical and mental health. Here are some tips on how to find the time to exercise, even when you have a packed schedule:
One of the best ways to make sure you have time for exercise is to schedule it into your calendar. Look at the week ahead and schedule in your workouts, treating it as an important appointment that you can't miss. If you're someone who thrives on routine, try to work out at the same time each day, so it becomes a habit.
If you're struggling to find time to exercise because you're also looking after children or other family members, try to make exercise a family activity. You could go for a family walk or bike ride after dinner. Not only will you get your exercise in, but you'll also be setting a good example for your children and promoting healthy habits for the whole family.
If you're really short on time, try to find ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. For example, you could take the stairs instead of the elevator, park further away from your destination so you have to walk further, or do some squats or lunges while you're waiting for dinner to cook. These small bouts of exercise may not seem like much, but they can add up over time.

Having a workout buddy can be a great way to stay motivated and make exercise more fun. If you have a friend or family member who also wants to exercise, try to schedule your workouts together. Not only will you have someone to keep you accountable, but you'll also have someone to chat with during your workout.
While it may not be the most appealing option, waking up earlier can be a great way to fit exercise into your day. Even waking up 30 minutes earlier can give you enough time for a quick workout, and it can help you start your day with more energy and focus.
If you have a lunch break at work, try to use that time for exercise. If you have an hours lunch break, could you spend 30mins having your lunch and the other 30mins going for a walk or even a small run?
If you are extremely busy, planning on doing a workout every single day, is probably unrealistic. You do not need to workout every day. Start off with three 20-30minute workouts per week. This way, you will be much more likely to stay consistent and actually have this as a part of your routine long-term!
So, to wrap back around, finding the time to exercise can be a challenge for busy women, but it's not impossible. By scheduling your workouts, making exercise a family activity, incorporating exercise into your daily routine, finding a workout buddy, waking up earlier, and making the most of your lunch break, you can make exercise a regular part of your life, even when you have a lot going on. Remember, exercise is essential for good health, both physical and mental, so it's worth making it a priority.
