What makes a Training Program stick? Training + Coaching

How can you make a Training Program that will give you results every single time?

This article is not only for Trainer but also those who want to know which trainer to choose.

In this article, I will try to highlight what are the key features you must look for for a training Program.

First of all, it is super easy, I know it seems counterintuitive but it is super easy to select it. I know most people start an article that it is very hard actually it is not. Training + Coaching is the key to it. If you are going for any training Program no matter how immersive it is how many activities you do in that program. After some time maybe 2,3 days or 2,4 weeks. All the effects will wear off. However, If it is backed by Coaching behind it to monitor your progress as an accountability partner you will get results 100% times without any exception. But let us dive deep into what you need to have in a training program.

Any training program that is passive to you, means you are only writing things down, or listening to someone is boring, outdated, and useless. It is a waste of money and most importantly time. Jim Rohn uses to say " Time is the most valuable asset. You can always get more money but can never get time" So before going to any training a little Research about that training program maybe on youtube or Linked In does not hurt us. Any trainer who is so good that he does not put anything on youtube for people to learn for free is not worth going to. Best Trainer and Coach in the world like Marshal Goldsmith, Simon Sinke, Robin Sharma, Tony robbins have a lot of data on the Internet just type their name and BOOMMMM!!!!! you get a lot of stuff. Find out who speaks in your language who you like more. This is very critical for any program. This is also possible trainer is really awesome but you can have rapport because of his style. Let us take example two of the best Trainer in the world. Tony Robbins - He is one of my gurus and every chance I have to attend and watch I do. However, he speaks very fast and he can become very aggressive and bossy for many people. So, It is important you listen to his one or two videos before deciding whether you should go there or not. Second Example Robin Sharma - I read all his books and have attended many of his seminars virtually. His HERO program on Mindvalley is just awesome. However, He speaks very slow and in a calm tone. My normal mindset is fast and rapid. I have to slow myself down to listen to him..... SO what is your way of speaking and talking and listening. Find out and then go to them.

Secondly, a Good Training Program must use all multiple intelligence. It must you audio, Video, writing down notes, Creative Exercises like mind mapping, or other games. Maybe something in which you have to use your body and mind alike. If you are just sitting listening to it or maybe even taking notes. Chances are very less than you will get anything. According to research shared by Tony Robbins " If you only listen to program you only remember 5% after one week. If you write while listening you remember 15-20% However if you practice what you listen and wrote. You remember 100% of What you have just attended " This is important in the modern world all technologies are properly used and implemented.

NOW LET US LOOK AT WHAT COACHING IS AND HOW IT CAN HELP TRAINING

Once training is done no matter if it was immersive, Will you take action for it or not will depend on Coaching and its follow-up. @Marhsal Goldsmith #1 Executive Coach is famous for changing behavior for senior executives which is one of the most important and most difficult things to do particularly in CEO or potential CEO. Marshal system is based on the simple yet powerful way of changing habits and behaviors.

The system suggests asking 6 very simple Close-ended questions. These powerful questions are like this, Have you done exercise? Have you eaten right? Have you read for 30minutes etc. These questions are written by student/ mentee himself and mentor just ask these question. Daily 2 minutes and at the end of the week you will get a report for it. It may seem easy but for a few weeks report will not seem good to you. I am sure about this thing. However soon guilt will take over because the human being has tendance to do more for others than we do for ourself and behavior will change. This is the real power

The second most important thing is the use of feedforward instead of using feedback. We also know feedback and 360 feedback. However, Marshal questions what is the use of feedback. it is not adding value (An important point to consider he coined the term 360-degree feedback)Now he uses a more powerful tool feedforward. There will be no talk about the past only about the future what we can do..... This helps to focus on the bigger picture.

Using these two tools with a combination of a good training program will make sure training will have its definite impact. Now, this may seem easy but just like an apple a day. Everyone knows it will keep you healthy. It is easy to do and easy not to do and 97% of people consider it easy not to do......

I will only recommend those training which has the combination of Training and Coaching what do you think about it?
