How can we make it easier?

There is no doubt that to sit down and write down your goals, whether personal or for business, is really tough.

In fact, it sucks!

So, why not take a different stance on the approach? Don't see your goal setting as a chore, but rather an exciting journey towards a well-deserved prize.

Before you start, always apply the S.M.A.R.T. format - cliche as it may be, it really does help you to narrow it down.

T ime-based

Think about what you want to achieve within your business. The obvious "make more money" generally comes to mind first. Sure! Of course you want to make more money. But, narrow it down, dig deeper.

Here are some examples, if you're struggling:

1. Look for ways to increase productivity - this will, in turn, increase revenue
2. Choose 3 ways to market your business and stick to those only
3. Employ your first employee
4. Get stuck into your monthly finances and take the time to learn how it all works
5. Work on the 80/20 rule - and give you past and existing clients more attention

There are no wrong or right goals - its what you want to achieve. Start with one and get focused on that first.
