How can we not be jealous of others' achievements'?!?

In this week’s Parsha, we have the story of Korach, whom argued on Moshe, and on his whole leadership, - to make a long story short - after all, the ?????? made an experiment/contest, to see, who Hashem chose, as we see (Bamidbar 17, 20):

???? ???? ??? ???? ?? ???? ???? ?????? ???? ?? ????? ??? ????? ??? ?? ????? ?????

The staff of the man whom I will choose will blossom, and I will calm down [turning away] from Myself the complaints of the children of Israel which they are complaining against you.

????? ????? ??? ???? ??? ?????? ??? ?????

The Sefas Emes asks, how will this – one stick blossoming - calm down the tensions amongst Klal Yisroel, even if we see someone was chosen, who says it’s still fair?

??? ????? ?? ?? ??? ?????? ?????? ???? ???? ?????. ??? ????? ???? ??? ???? ??? ????? ?"? ?????? ???? ????? ???? ??? ????? ???? ???? ???? ????? ????"? ??? ?????? ??? ?? ??? ????? ???? ??? ???? ?? ??? ??? ???? ?????? ????? ????? ??????? ?????? ??? ?? ?????"? ?????? ?"? ?? ??? ????? ???? ???? ??? ???? ?????

The Sefas Emes teaches here a very profound point, the so called jealousy and envy that Korach had, was, because he thought, the other ones, that reached higher than him, did a better job, worked harder, therefore, achieved greater, the more toil and sweat, the better result.

This was something, that didn’t make sense to him, he couldn’t get his head around it, as it’s impossible to really know who works harder…

But the real answer is, that it’s a choice from HaShem, G-D put’s everyone in his position where he can fulfil his mission, to be ???? ???? ?????? ?-?-? – to elevate and refine the world in/within his glorious Kingdom.

Once we understand this, that it’s not the work and labour that define who everyone is, it’s rather the choice of HaShem, who defines, what mission one shall fulfil, so he can enhance and reveal the Kingdom of G-D, in this world, so there is no jealousy and envy anymore.

This is something we ought to remember, it’s great to look back and see the great things we’ve done, but that’s not the idea, the main point is, that HaShem chose each and everyone of us, to express something unique, everyone of us, has a certain place, physically or spiritually, where only he can reveal the unity and oneness of G-D.

Each and everyone one of us, has a unique opportunity, to reach a certain place – spiritually or physically – and shout out ??? ??? ????? - There is none other than Him, there is nothing besides, above and beyond his Glory!
