How can we control you? Let us count the ways!

For generations the mantra of business has been overconsumption, get them to buy more, eat more, play more, want more, have more. 

It is after all that drives the world economy.

Demand, or personal consumption, drives almost 70% of the economy.

However, Successful business models do not last forever. Something horrible happened: businesses closed, people stood in line for hours for food, and most economic activities in both developed and developing countries stood still.

The vulnerability of the world economy has been exposed.

Actual economic theories are based on money as the unit of accounting, measuring, and exchange.

How can consumption continue with no resources? I see a gigantic loophole in the economic theory not having an answer about this - and as far as I see - not even discussing it.

Massive and timely fiscal responses prevented a Great Depression-like economic catastrophe worldwide. 

While many Corporations are in too fearful a state to logically assess what is going on around them. 

And all the while the surreal words “when things get back to normal” float in the air.

So how can Corporate America function in a new world environment when the long-term impacts on employment, productivity, and potential output cannot be fully understood? 

Economic and social resilience requires a multilateral system. Digitalization, automation, and robotization will be accelerated as part of new business models.

The Nations leading the development and utilization of AI will control and shape the future. Those who fall behind will not be competitive in our new world.

In an attempt to improve their survivability Thirty (30) nations now have national AI strategies, with the United States being a clear leader while China challenges such lead and the UAE is coming in a close third.
