How can we communicate more assertively?

Communication can sometimes be based on how effectively we express our thoughts without offending people who disagree with us. Between assertive?and aggressive communication, there is, nevertheless, a very fine line. Instead of speaking authoritatively, we might learn to communicate politely.
? Interpretation of influential words and tone:
When we communicate, tone has a greater influence than words alone. It's also important that the tone complements what you're saying. For example, it's simple to change a negative statement like "I don't want to work on this specific project" to something positive and impactful like "I prefer working on an alternate project that better justifies my capabilities." or "Since I already have great experience working on similar projects, I would like to explore something more challenging this time," is another way to phrase the same sentence.
? Respect the opinions of others:?
We have to respect our own opinions. However, we come across as a firm and empathetic person when we respect other people's perceptions and opinions with the same respect. If, after interacting, we come to a different conclusion. Saying "I understand and respect your viewpoint; however, I have a different view on this" and?then going on to elaborate on your point of view is a subtle and courteous way to voice your opinion.
? A platform that is mutually agreed upon:
As assertive communicators, we need to be able to share multiple responses to a given request. By having a belief that issues should be solved rather than becoming weighed down by them or dwelling on their obstacles. Because of this, we can?communicate with flexibility and seek the perspectives of others. Achieving a "mutually agreed platform" is the main goal.
