As we return to work after the holidays, it's important to remember that this transition can be challenging for many people. Feeling down after the holidays can impact people's motivation, productivity, and overall well-being. As managers, it's our responsibility to support our teams and establish a workplace where mental well-being is a top priority for everyone.
Understanding post-holiday blues
Post-holiday blues often manifest as feelings of sadness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and a general lack of motivation. This is a normal response to the change in routine and the return to responsibilities. Acknowledging these feelings and fostering open communication can create a supportive atmosphere where team members feel comfortable expressing themselves.
