How can a volunteer develop a system for open government data and arrive at CRM based on big data with artificial intelligence? It's very simple.

During my volunteering activities, in 2016, one of the projects that my team developed was a platform for collecting and processing big data. The main goal of this system was to unite most of the state open data and convert it from a heap of incomprehensible garbage into quite human and machine-readable information that could be conveniently processed, integrated with its own systems and used by Ukrainian citizens and businesses for their own needs. Also, the next stage of the project wanted to set up a wonderful system that provides electronic public services, open budget services, and more.

We developed the platform by spending our own funds and planned to give it to the country for free use. There was a lack of political will and little financial support for setting up the platform for specific processes and creating user-friendly interfaces.

At that time, I ran around all possible government agencies and donor organizations with a request for help and a proposal to create a cool tool practically free of charge, but I received one answer everywhere - we don’t need it, we are fine, we do it ourselves. I will not comment on what they did - this is the story for a separate article.

Having spent a lot of our resources, disappointed, we abandoned our achievements and returned to the business.

And now, a little more than a year ago, a large investment company at the other end of the planet and a number of its partners became interested in our developments absolutely by chance.

Then a somewhat adventurous project was born, to create an automatic customer and marketing management system based on this platform.

And now, after almost a year of operation, the CRM system with big data analytics enhanced by artificial intelligence has entered a pilot launch. We have a long way to go when the system reaches its planned capacity and the entire conceived functionality works. However, the positive attitude of partners and the mood of the team can not but rejoice!

This is a new and extremely interesting skill for a group of like-minded people who have acquired the name Quadrivium.
