How IT can remove barriers to growth

My conversations with CEOs often begin with how their IT is inhibiting growth. They’re frustrated by poor reporting, or systems that don’t talk to each other, or inefficient workarounds. There are barriers to their marketing or digital ambitions.
I could go on, but you get the point: IT can be the problem and the solution.
IT is perhaps unique in that although it pervades the entire business, it is deeply technical, and the issues and complexities are often not visible. Moreover, business leaders rarely have a background in IT, and IT guys rarely have a background in business.
Time and again we’ve helped mid-market businesses untangle these issues. New systems and digital plans become part of a positive transformation. The business becomes more efficient and profitable, provides better service, and creates value through IT and technology.
We often start with an IT Roadmap for Growth – in short, a plan that starts with your business objectives, and then a plan for your IT and systems to match. Sometimes a client discovers they only need tweaks; sometimes the need is transformational, such as an ERP project. Either way, we work out how to get there – and the ROI – because we made a roadmap.?(CEO’s Guide to the IT Roadmap for Growth)
Our guide explains in plain English how to go about building your own IT Roadmap for Growth.
Imagine a business where IT is in sync with business growth. Everyone has the tools they need to do their jobs; systems and processes are efficiently integrated, within the company and with suppliers; data is clean and well-managed, providing a solid basis for real-time reporting or new initiatives like AI.
This is what we do!
