How Can One Be Great & At Peace At All Times

How Can One Be Great & At Peace At All Times

Greatness is not about intelligence.

It is about insight.

Peace does not come from meditation or austerities.

It comes from seeing things as they truly are.

Greatness relies on clarity.

Without clarity, most days will be average. Occasionally, there will be a day where everything feels effortless, and the world sees you as the person you truly are.

This is common among professional athletes. Most of the time, they are not the superstars the world perceives them to be.

Their fame rests on a few, highly publicized victories.

This is true for almost all successful individuals.

The hidden truth is that Greatness need not be fleeting and rare. But the world is unaware of this secret. Consequently, people believe that “the zone” or “flow state” or moments of greatness must be rare.

Coaches and psychologists describe the zone by its attributes.

But even a child understands the attributes of the zone: Time slows down, and things become effortless.

They teach that the zone is a state where the mind is calm.

This is false. Believing this falsehood has serious consequences. If one believes that “the zone” or “flow state” is a state where the mind is calm, they will focus on calming the mind.

No need to take my word for it. Look at the evidence. Professional athletes, performers, and executives have been told this for decades.

What is the result?

Even world-class individuals experience the zone less than 1 percent of the time.

So much for trying to calm the mind.

Let’s move away from foolishness. And speak The Truth.

The zone or flow state is not a calm mind.

It is a mind that has Disappeared.

(This is a journey in itself).

Nothing happens in this life unless it is actively pursued.

But nothing is actively pursued unless one knows it truly exists.

Only a fool would pursue something he believes does not exist.

Let us speak The Truth.

This is for the Serious Person.

Everyone else should leave. They should chase the prescriptions of meditation, mindfulness, and the various fruits taken from Eastern traditions and planted in a soil that does not support their growth.

Let us begin.

Greatness must be deconstructed into its components.

One must examine which aspects of greatness resonate most with them.

There is no right or wrong.

There is no should or should not.

Why?

Because right and wrong, should or should not, bring judgment, morality, and rules. And where there are rules, no matter how “sacred” they seem, there cannot be honesty.

Where there are rules, there cannot be Truth.

Without honesty and Truth, there will always be inner conflict.

This inner conflict will prevent seeing things as they truly are.

And to reiterate, Peace comes from seeing things as they truly are.

As one explores the components of greatness, they will see that greatness is more about the human being than the role they play (whether CEO, Professional Athlete, Performer, Artist, President, etc.).

Essentially, there is no such thing as a Professional Athlete or a CEO. There is a human masquerading as one. Understand this:

Perfect the human, and you create a permanent Superstar.

Peace is not found in a bubble gum machine, any more than success on the world stage is found at a flea market.

Humans are not serious.

They live in a world of potions, prescriptions, smoke, and mirrors.

The person who seeks Greatness all the time...

The person who seeks Peace all the time...

Must first be Serious and Genuine all the time.

Not because seriousness or genuineness is “right” or “moral” or “proper.” Such societal dictums are useless.

But because only seriousness and genuineness can capture the mind sufficiently to attain such extraordinary things.

Begin here.

This is the only way.

Throughout history, this has always been the only way.

Do you think as humans we naturally struggle to remove the mask of doing and focus on being?
