How can NASA contribute to the Metaverse?

If you’re looking to invest in the future of technology, you’re investing in the Metaverse, and there’s no escaping it. You saw corporate giants such as Microsoft and Nvidia provide capital for this venture; now, NASA is also taking advantage of this opportunity. They believe in this technology's potential, and they’re using it to train astronauts to practice living on Mars .?

This would be the perfect opportunity for physical and mental training for astronauts to help create adaptation skills when the future becomes a reality. Previously, NASA has also been taking part in creating video games. They paired up with Epic Games, where they developed a game to educate about the different endangered types of coral.?

Mars VR simulation?

Metaverse, you could say, is multipurpose due to its functionality. All outer space simulations cannot be done practically, so they’re turning to the most futuristic technology there, the Metaverse. In contrast, NASA is giving the metaverse the substantial credibility that it needs to be taken seriously by the world. Gamerant reports NASA has created five VR martian simulations, namely, "Set Up Camp ," "Scientific Research," "Maintenance," "Exploration," and "Blow Our Minds" for these environments. As you can observe, the last one is used to create the most imaginative scenarios possible to train for the most unexpected outcomes they would have to face as Martians. Fun fact, they’re looking for XR developers who will help build these environments. This challenge is open to all, whether you are an individual or a company. The reward for this is $70K in prizes; each category has four rewards. The submission for this needs to be well within 80 days, have a look at this tweet by HeroX!?

Ready to experience Star Wars??

If you’re looking for guidelines to make it easier, you can try experimenting with this ; it’s got some great ideas to save you some quality time. Anyhow, NASA has been planning several projects within the metaverse, and I feel like this is just the start; I think it’s pretty meta, don’t you? Let me share another anticipated activity they’re about to launch where they will be sending doctors to space , correction holographic doctors through the Metaverse using a technique called the “holoportation.” Huh, I don’t know how medical professionals would feel about that, mixed emotions, perhaps? Being in outer space is an otherworldly experience in itself, quite literally. Astronauts need to have a stable mind to stay in that particular habitat.

Mental health-led expeditions?

The Metaverse could become the core element, allowing the astronauts to maintain their emotional well-being.? To create that make-shift reality, many medical professionals have suggested using virtual and augmented reality to support the mental health of astronauts on their extraordinary journeys. Furthermore, researchers at Simon Fraser University’s iSpace Lab developed one such technology . Alongside that, a company called Houston Metaverse company, Z3VR is developing a technology that will also optimize astronauts' physical fitness. The company is aiming to create a VR game that aims to fight some biological effects of a long-term space mission.??

Finally, the last predictive technology used by the Metaverse would be to develop long-term communication. Scientists could use virtual and augmented reality to sustain personalized communications with astronauts, friends, and families. Holoportation is one of the advanced AR methods to achieve this. Communication has to be one of the trickiest parts of going into outer space, so this would be substantial technological advancement. What do you think about this corroborative collaboration? I believe this gives the Metaverse the evidence and the proper form of its nature. Think about all the other endless possibilities it could provide and potentially take us into the future very soon. It’s a leap in the right direction!?
