5 Tips to boost your email open rates
I get asked on a daily basis by my clients ‘How can I boost my email open rates?’
There are many different areas to consider when putting together a successful marketing email campaign; however your subject line is key when ensuring you have a high open rate.
This is what I advise my clients:
1 - Subject lines should be clear – keep it specific and relevant to the content of your message within the body of the email.
2 - Create a sense of urgency – Utilising deadlines is a great way of creating a sense of urgency, however asking a question within the subject line can also be just as effective – Example – “Is this still of interest ?â€
3 - Keep it short – Subject lines that contain 6 – 10 words tend to have a 21% open rate.
4 - Question – Ask yourself would this subject line grab your attention and interest you enough to open the email.
5 - What works best- split test multiple subject lines to discover which gives you the best results.
