Why Haiti?
As a marketer who grew up in Haiti and experienced the struggle of accessing water. I have a responsibility or obligation to help my people by trying to make water more accessible in homes without having to walk miles for a couple gallons or bucket of water. Haiti is currently facing other problem such as political, economical, environmental, and technological. Currently the city of Port-aux-Prince is mostly occupied by gang after the assassination of the president in 2021, the peoples lives are in danger from shooting, kidnapping, and food insecurity. Water access in homes and neighborhoods would help the people not having to walk into places where violence is likely to happen.
While digital marketing tools can help raise awareness and funds, the implementation of sustainable water solutions in Haiti will require collaboration with local communities, government agencies, and non-profit organizations to address the root causes of the crisis and implement long-term solutions.
