But the modern manager’s life isn’t easy. Between packed calendars, never-ending Slack messages, and constant distractions, staying on top of it all can feel overwhelming. By incorporating AI tools and frameworks, they can support their teams more effectively, whether it’s by providing feedback, sharpening decision-making skills, or improving communication.

For example, here are a few ways managers can harness AI to step into this new supermanager role:

• Level up your team’s writing skills Clear and effective communication is critical in any role, but especially for product managers or those working cross-functionally. The ability to articulate decisions, drive clarity, and inspire through well-crafted messages can significantly impact a team’s performance.

• Turn teams into debate champions Product management and other strategic roles often involve advocating for ideas and balancing competing priorities. Team members need to build logical reasoning and persuasive skills to make a strong case for their ideas—whether they’re talking to peers or presenting to the leadership team.
• Help your team master synthesis skills Writing concise yet meaningful meeting notes is an underrated skill, especially for product managers and other cross-functional leaders. It’s not just about recording what was said but synthesizing the key takeaways, decisions, and action points in a way that aligns everyone.

By adopting these AI-driven strategies, managers can amplify their impact without losing the personal touch that makes their leadership valuable. The idea is not to replace but to enhance the human aspects of management.
