How to calibrate a new cutting shaft for the tape machine?

Sometimes we change a new cutting shaft, maybe in a smaller/bigger diameter, to fulfill another tape-cutting task, or just replace the old with the new.

Then how to calibrate the levelness and perpendicularity of the new cutting shaft after its installation on the machine?
