Lydia Pierre?has been shaping executive personal brands for more than 13 years. In her role as Senior Director of Brand Management at?PBG, she has learned what people need to launch and sustain their personal brands.

Lydia sat down with?Nick Westergaard?on his?On Brand podcast?to talk about why you need a personal brand, and what you need to know to get started. Here are some of the highlights that stuck out to me.

This issue was originally published in January of 2022. I didn’t produce a new episode because I spent the past week at the Creator Economy Expo and it was an incredible experience. I got to spend time and learn from a wide array of people who are all really passionate about what they do. It was inspiring.

I collected some of the things I learned in?this LinkedIn post.

Wow! I'm on my way home from the second annual Creator Economy Expo and even more blown away than last year. As I mentioned the other day, there are so many smart people who attend this conference. There are no clock punchers at an event like this. These are people driven by the passion for what they do. Talking with these people inspired a brand new idea that I've already started working on (details coming soon!). I wish I could tag everyone I talked to, but there were so many people who gave me feedback on this new idea. Thank you to Joe Pulizzi Pam Pulizzi Marc Maxhimer Laura Kozak Ann Gynn and the rest of The Tilt team for putting on an incredible event. I don't want to wait another year to attend the next one. #CreatorExpo #ContentEntrepreneur #CreatorEconomy

I drew sketches of the keynote speakers on my iPad because I wanted to do something as a counter-programming to all of the AI talk and generative AI.

I was recently on?Kirupa’s podcast?where I got to talk about why I’m focusing more on creating custom sketches as you see above, and many other things I’ve learned from creating this newsletter. Check it out!
