How to Build Your Business Online While Working a Full-Time Job

I hear it all the time. I’m not crazy about my job, the work culture and office politics! For quite some time now, you’ve thought about creating an online business for yourself but not sure where to begin. With the current economy status, you don’t feel the security of having a long-term job.?

You are a highly skilled professional, an expert at what you do.??Are you thinking that now might be the perfect time to start your business online???You say to yourself, “If I could, I would love to finally quit my job and work for myself!”?

Imagine leaving the “9 to 5 grind” behind, working for yourself and the hours on your own terms.??You love this?and?are attracted by the idea of having greater freedom to spend time with your family.?

Did you know that?you can start a home-based business without quitting your job? Yes, you can! You can use your professional expertise and experience, to start?a home-based business,?join in the online world,?while still working at your job.

It's quite simple and does not require a lot of start up cash.??The best way to begin is to have?clarity and a simple business plan.??

So?grab a notepad and start writing the ideas and imagine your dream business.??Sit by the lake, ocean or in nature, and take the time to enjoy this process. Visualize what you will be doing.??How many hours would you like to work, will you want to build a team? Get really clear on your vision.

Have you thought about who your target market will be? Do you know what your ideal clients need and if your skills, experiences, and knowledge can meet those needs? Will you need to seek advice from a tax advisor or how best to structure your business.??Also, read start-up business books.?

Here are a few more things to think about:

• Research what your business might need for online services, for example, if you are a certified personal trainer, will you need to purchase equipment such as dumbbells, mats, jump rope, bands to demonstrate proper movements, a laptop, will you offer nutritional coaching, etc.?
• Another example, if you’ve provided local services as a spiritual coach, NLP Practitioner, counselor or social worker, what will you need to expand online? Will you need a laptop with webcam and mic, virtual conferencing app, would you offer group counseling or coaching, etc.?

?Take your time to write down your thoughts, ideas and don’t allow yourself to become overwhelmed…remember Rome wasn’t built in a day. So, make it a fun process and enjoy!
