1. Learn how to market yourself to attract clients = Start posting content and build an audience. Decide what you want to be known for. Get obsessed. I never advise people to niche down too much. It’s really risky. We are so much more than only one topic. Personally I get bored if I only do one thing. Diversify but stay consistent.
2. Start writing daily and post content on social media. Why? To show your expertise. Market and position yourself. Provide value. Help people. Start with one channel at a time. I started with LinkedIn. Once you have traction, add another channel if you want.Writing daily is a super power ??
3. Build an audience. You can do so much once you have. You can build whatever you want on top of it. Opportunities and clients come when you have an audience. Audience is the new oil.
4. Reverse engineer what so many already are doing. There are so many people doing this well, so learn from people who are further ahead of you.
5. Stair step yourself out of your corporate job. Jumping out with no plan is not recommended.
6. Start with side hustles and build momentum. All big things start small.
7. Go to your network and ask for intros to companies you want to work with. Every time I look for a new freelancer, I turn to you, my network.
8. Become a freelancer to someone who's already doing this. Learn from them.
9. Spend more time with people who inspire and challenge you. Friends, family, let podcasts be your mentor, follow people on social media who inspire you. You will learn loads.
