How to build a legacy brand?

Do your prospects recognize you? Do they know that you exist? What do users know about your brand and when they come across your brand do they recognize that it's you? This could include things like do they recognize your name. Do they recognize your brand ID your products or services? Having great brand awareness makes people have a deeper familiarity with your brand, with your products, with your services and with your brand design.?Having great brand awareness can teach you things like the effectiveness of your brand design, the effectiveness of your marketing or how people are receiving you.

How much you differ from your competition? How well they can differentiate you??So, what could be some ways to increase your brand awareness?

The first thing you can do to increase brand awareness is you can partner with other brands.?Some examples of this are Red Bull and GoPro or Apple and Mastercard or Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma or Spotify and Starbucks.

When you're just starting out, it's beneficial to establish partnerships with other brands because you are showing up for the brand by giving them some value beforehand. You're bringing your audience to their audience and you're leveraging their audience to build your audience. So, make sure that you're engaging with brands that have similar purposes, similar values and similar lifestyle aspirations. You want to go public with them so you can jointly come up with articles, do video interviews, give podcast interviews. You can share or show up in the same place and give value to their audience by developing those common partnerships. It can really build your brand and your brand awareness much faster.

The second way you can build brand awareness is by guest posting. You probably cannot jump right in and write for Huffington Post right away. You’re going to have to probably start small and build credibility overtime and write for larger publications down the line. You want to put in your marketing research. You want to research brands that have similar audiences and similar targets and then pitch them with content they will find valuable. You really want to do your research well beforehand because if you do, you're going to have a better result for your efforts in your pitches. You can write a pitch email, include a sample headline of the type of content that you would write or links to previous content that you've written for other brands and then pitch them with your idea. Make sure to keep the pitch short because they get dozens of these emails a day and no one has got time for that. Third way to build brand awareness is to leverage social mead platforms.

People won't share your content unless you asked them to, but you want to make sure that you're developing shareable content. So, things like graphics in info graphics and quotes make sure that you're focusing on really hot topics in your industry, and you provide short links so it's really easy for people to share. Then you want to make sure that you engage by answering comments. When someone asks questions, you may want to really engage with your audience.

You need to be authentic and not salesy because if you incorporate your website, Facebook feed, Instagram feed, it will drive up your brand awareness. Your business marketing strategies must tie back to your overall Vision and Mission you have for your company. You also want to share other people's content so that they also share yours as a favor. Your contacts will get exposed to their audience which will build the level of brand awareness and exposure.

Building a legacy brand, will always require you to focus and strategize by being an entrepreneur that's very laser focused on their vision and mission. In order to become a legacy brand, you need to be known by that "ONE THING" that helps you stand out and disrupt the market.
