How to Build Flexibility in the Workplace - Episode 21
Rameez Kaleem
Founder and CEO @3R Strategy │ Helping organisations reward and retain employees through fair and equitable approach to pay
In this month's A Case of the Mondays Podcast I speak to Ursula Tavender co-founder of The Inclusive Workplace and Innovation in Equity. Both organisations exist to make the world of work more inclusive and equitable for everyone by supporting companies to close pay gaps, embrace flexible working and ensure everyone can progress equally in their careers.
One key insight Ursula brought to the conversation was how the meaning of 'flexibility' has changed over the years.
Pre-covid, when we ask people about flexible working for many it meant working mothers who work part-time. Now, post-covid, when we talk about flexible working people's assumption is that we mean remote or hybrid working.
It's really interesting how these perceptions have changed. But the truth is flexibility means something different to everybody.
