How to build FINANCIAL cushion to afford a CREATIVE life

People all the time ask me, "Do you have any hobbies?" I don't golf, hunt, fish, play a sport or even really know if I do but I love one thing, creative loafing. This is my ability to do what I want when I want. That what may be to read a good book, listen to a good podcast, travel to and from a cool location, or just allow myself to get in a creative space to "create something" that I believe will improve the lives of others. I love when I can just be to get in a state of inspiration and then sit down and create something valuable as a direct result of that inspiration.

For many this type of life is not an option. They are taxed, stressed, and every minute matters because they haven't built a financial cushion that affords them a creative life. They haven't built a successful business that would give them the time or freedom, or the excess cash to pursue creative endeavors. I don't believe you create inspired things during moments of high stress. I believe you create incredible things when your mind and body are relaxed. You perform under pressure due to practice, mindset, and repetition.

For me step one is to build a business that would offer me enough cash that I can "create time and freedom" to get creative minus the stress and pressure of too many bills to pay, too little in the checking account, and too much pressure to work every second. I have a solution to this problem.

In my coaching program of Monster Producer we teach this formula:

First build a world class "explanation of services." This is a six step framework we use (that can be condensed to three) to have something "valuable to say" when you do talk with others or present your ideas to the market. This speeds up the velocity of a sale and gives you total clarity about what you believe and what you do as a result of those beliefs. This framework was created by one of our Monsters named Tom Love.

Second, work a consistent selling/prospective system we call "Legacy Selling." This is a calculated system of customer acquisition, circulation, and placing people in to specific categories to move with purpose and sell every day consistently. This drives revenue toward a dominant focus.

Third, we go to work on your "Million Dollar Follow Up" showing you a seven touch system before, during, and after the sale helping you to bring prospects to clients, and ultimately to advocates who will fight for you in the market.

Fourth, we show you how to create a structure in the future to push people to giving you something valuable to ask for referrals. We believe that like gravitate toward like and association breeds assimilation. We show you how to create these "structures of exchange" to extract 5.7 referrals from every transaction.

Finally, we teach you the core ingredients to become a "Person of Interest." This has to do with building your status in the market as an expert so that people are chasing you and you are never chasing them. In essence we show you how to become "known and famous."

In a one year cycle this is the "system" we are teaching you to become a MONSTER PRODUCER. When all of this begins to click and you add a "long obedience in the same direction" toward mastery you will begin to build something magical.

You will begin to build a business that gives you EXCESS cash that then will buy you time for your CREATIVITY so that you can think and execute on the biggest ideas.

Don't be a LEVEL 10 person operating with a LEVEL 2 opportunity. Match your LEVEL 10 creativity with a LEVEL 10 vehicle and see what happens. This is how you build the financial cushion you need to afford a creative life.

Interesting - This is the third time that I have read an article by Michael and thought - I wish I wasn't too busy and I could explore their coaching system! I guess that's the point really - matching levels is how you get out of the bondage of barely making enough.....
