How to Build an Exceptional Employee Experience
Digital HR Leaders Podcast - Bonus Episode | Nerys Mutlow, ServiceNow

How to Build an Exceptional Employee Experience

If you don't invest in employee experience, there are plenty of organisations that will

Those are the words of Nerys Mutlow, Evangelist in the Chief Innovation Office at ServiceNow, and my guest on this week's episode of the Digital HR Leaders Podcast, which is all about how to create an exceptional employee experience.

Personas have a place in designing the employee experience, but we need to go a level down to the next level of employee experience, which is about recognising the individual conditions for people to be successful - building basically a digital twin of every employee. That flows nicely into the importance of diversity and inclusion.

Throughout this episode, Nerys and I discuss:

  • The gap between customer experience and employee experience and Nerys’ perspective on how EX is evolving
  • How to design an excellent employee experience by thinking beyond personas to individual-level wants and needs
  • The relationships between employee wellbeing and productivity, business resilience and striking the right balance, in particular for hybrid work
  • The importance of employee listening and experimentation in the hybrid work environment

David Green What a great topic. Individuals (called people, talent, competence, employees, workforce) are the core ingredients of any organization. My first exposure from my mentor JB Ritchie implanted in me the adage "organizations don't think people do." While I have added "organizations shape how people think, do, and feel", individuals are still the core of any organization. Employee experience is a lead indicator of almost all stakeholder outcomes (business strategy, customers, investors, communities) And, the ways to study employees has continued to evolve.... this is a wonderful interview on employee experience as a next step. Thanks for sharing. https://www.dhirubhai.net/pulse/whats-your-experience-employee-dave-ulrich/
