What's your brand's mission, and how does it align with your personal values?
After more than a decade crafting marketing strategies, and content for major tech brands like Google, TikTok, and Huawei, I felt the need to shift towards areas of marketing I could see myself working in for the long run.
When I started collaborating with small businesses, I quickly realised the pressing need for efficient workflows. Founders and the marketers supporting them juggle countless roles, and content creation often becomes overwhelming. Ironically, I faced the same challenge when building my own brand presence—it felt like chaos.
Then came LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), and I was instantly hooked. The more I experimented, the more I grasped their immense potential—not just how quickly they learn and mimic but how much power lies in the hands of those who use them strategically. AI isn’t going anywhere; in fact, it’s evolving at lightning speed.
I made a conscious decision to invest serious time in mastering responsible and ethical AI use, developing AI assistants that enhance, rather than replace, human creativity. Every entrepreneur and marketer can benefit enormously from understanding AI—not just to optimize their processes but to actively shape AI models into being more ethical, diverse, and inclusive. The way we input data into these systems determines the kind of intelligence they develop. And if we do it right, we don’t just work faster—we contribute to a more equitable future in marketing and beyond.
What are the biggest challenges purpose-driven business owners and marketers face when using AI for their communications & marketing strategies, and how can they overcome them?
One of the biggest challenges purpose-driven entrepreneurs face with AI is that the content often feels off-brand, generic, or like an infomercial from the 90s. Many try it out, only to find that it doesn’t capture their tone, personality, or values—so they assume AI just doesn’t work for them. But the real issue isn’t the tool itself; it’s that AI can only work with the information you give it. If you don’t train it properly, it won’t reflect your brand. Another common concern is the ethical side of AI—bias, misinformation, and the fear that AI-generated content might replace human creativity. These are valid worries, but the solution isn’t to avoid AI; it’s to learn how to use it responsibly and with intention.
The good news is that these challenges are totally fixable. The key is training AI to sound like you by feeding it clear instructions and the right examples. AI works best when it’s used strategically—to speed up brainstorming, repurpose content, and handle repetitive tasks—while keeping the final human touch where it matters. It’s also important to embed your values into AI-generated content so it doesn’t default to generic or biased patterns. And, of course, knowing when not to use AI is just as important as knowing when to lean on it. When used intentionally, AI doesn’t replace purpose-driven businesses—it helps them work smarter while staying true to their incredible mission.?
