How To Build Confidence In Sales
Take a moment and answer me this:
What key qualities do you associate with gold-star salespeople?
Competitiveness? Sure.
Resilience? Definitely.
But I'll bet that confidence was was near the top (if not the top) of your list.
Because we all know that prospects simply will not buy from a desperate, flustered, or jittery salesperson.
Here's another (lesser known) truth about confidence:
No one is born confident and self-assured.
Confidence is a mindset that you can cultivate through training and preparation.
In the context of sales, this means four things:
- Understanding and appreciating your own skills, values, and potential
- Respecting the goals, standards, and vision of the business you are selling for
- Knowing your product back-to-front
- Understanding the outcomes and results provided by your product, i.e. learn about the real, tangible impact your product has on people's lives.
Follow these two straightforward, actionable steps, and your confidence in your in your sales ability will skyrocket with minimal conscious effort.
What's more, you'll naturally impart your confidence, clarity, and self-assurance to your prospects, thereby putting prospects in the best position to buy.
I've recorded a whole video where I thoroughly break down each of these steps to killer confidence in sales.
