How to Build Community
One thing that great leaders do is develop the skill of building culture and community.
I'm blessed to be doing that now in my own high-performance growth community, a group of people who are really supporting each other, living their best lives on purpose and here are three ideas for you as a leader to think about, to build culture and strong community.
The first idea is to commit and communicate, commit to serve these people.
The community is about the community, it is not about you as the leader, it's really about you committing to serve them.?
For me, this is about every single day committing to dropping short, reflective audio files into that community to get people to think, just get them to touch things every day about their growth and about the leadership of themselves and others.
There's one of my commitments to serve, that I go out of my way, but I hope to start to build and strengthen the culture and community.
The second idea for you is to discover a mutual purpose.?
The community is not about you, like I say, people will support something that they have had a hand in creating.
We must discover what they want.
What do the community want?
What are their purposes?

How do we align mutual purpose?
You can have a vision as a leader yourself of what this might be, but then you must bring in other people's visions and build that community based on mutual purpose and mutual kind of needs and desires. So that's the second idea.
The third idea, which is a basic one, is to take care of each other, actually care about the people in the community and care about them through action, we should be thinking about them a lot.
We should be supporting them, cheering them on, motivating them, helping them when they need it.
There are three ideas about building a real culture and community.
