Relationships are glue that holds a team together. You can win Life if you can win people. You can even build a great life, great relationship if you become great at relationship building.
Doesn’t matter who you are: a leader or follower, coach or player, teacher or student, parent or child, CEO or average worker.
You are involved with people in all fields. To build the great relationship, we can practice following key things on daily basis:
1. Respect : when relationships come into picture, everything begins with RESPECT. We should show respect to all as human beings. If we consider someone as nothing in his/her absence, it’s very difficult to make them feel important during their presence. The best thing about respect is that you give respect to people even before they have done anything special for you.
2. Share experiences: respect lays the foundation of good relationships but before knowing someone, we can’t build relationships. So we should know everyone with whom we want to build relationships and need to share required experiences over time.
3. Trust: to give respect and spend time with someone, we can build relationships. In any relationship, TRUST is the biggest factor. TRUST is a bigger compliment than LOVE. Not a single relationship can sustain without TRUST.
4. Reciprocity: To build a solid relationship, it is very important to spend more time and energy. In a relationship, if one person is the receiver and another one is the only giver, such a relationship can’t be sustained for a long time. So one sided relationship doesn’t last, a relationship should be two way “GIVE & TAKE”. We should show our care and give full attention in every relationship on time.
What other things are required in building relationships according to your thoughts?
