How To Build A B2B Business

There is only ONE way to build a B2B business.
Here're three things I tried that didn't work:
1. Drink coffee
2. Give talks
3. Build a website
I wish I knew what my ex-Anglo Chinese School classmate Clinton Ang knew all along.
We grew up together under storied "The Best Is Yet To Be" traditions of days of yore at Baker Road.
Before the "The West Is Yet To Be" decision to move our school to Tengah.
Clinton Ang runs Cornerstone Wines as its third generation owner.
His family business is Southeast Asia's largest independent distributor of wine and spirits.
I toured his bonded warehouse yesterday evening to view SGD40 million of inventory.
That's cost price.
As a business valuer, the market value is closer to SGD80 million.
Cornerstone has 18,000 bottles of Sassicaia alone.
That's Tenuta San Guido's flagship Bordeaux-style "Super Tuscan" red wine.
There are also endless walls of Chateau Pétrus and Chateau Lafite Rothschild pristine crates.
Clinton demonstrates the only way to build a B2B business.
This is how he commemorates more than four decades of friendship.
He cracked open four bottles of Bodegas Montecillo Gran Reserva 1973. Rioja DOCa, Spain.
The only way to build a B2B business is to build and celebrate relationships. #tbiytb
