How to brush your teeth ?

The purpose of brushing is to remove plaque, soft dirt, food residue and pigmentation, and keep the mouth clean. Plaque is usually regenerated within 1 to 6 hours after being removed. When removing plaque, special attention should be paid to the concealed areas such as the adjacent faces of the teeth and the sulcus. To maintain oral health, it is necessary to choose a brushing tool and master the correct brushing method. Sonic Electric Toothbrush is a better choice; it can clean your teeth and mouth better than a manual toothbrush.

How to choose a toothbrush

1. The size of the brush head is appropriate and should not be too big or too sharp;

2. The bristles are soft and fine high-quality nylon yarns (good resilience, poor water absorption, easy to dry, and strong abrasion resistance). Brand toothbrushes usually choose DuPont's bristles;

3. Rounded bristles;

4. The length of the handle is suitable, and the thickness is easy to grasp. Children and women should choose a special electric toothbrush, the handle will be thinner, easy to grasp and control, and the material of the bristles will be softer.

How to choose toothpaste

Fluoride toothpaste is preferred. Fluoride can reduce the solubility of enamel, increase the structural strength of enamel crystals, increase the hardness of teeth, and prevent dental caries.

However, children under the age of 3 are not recommended to use fluoride toothpaste. Children between 4 and 6 years old should be used under the guidance of an adult. The amount of each use is about the size of the soybeans.

Brushing time

The Pap Sweeping Method is a method of brushing teeth recommended by the American Dental Association to remove food debris and plaque, which can effectively clean the mouth. Point the bristles at a 45° angle to the teeth, when brushing the upper teeth, brush down, and brush up when brushing the lower teeth; use the front end of the toothbrush to brush the inside of the front teeth; then brush the biting surface of the teeth, finally brush your tongue.

It is recommended to brush your teeth at least once a day and brush your teeth before going to bed at night. The brushing time of the manual toothbrush is not less than 3 minutes. The electric toothbrush (Sonic Toothbrush) has a 2-minute automatic timing function, and the electric toothbrush is cleaner than the manual toothbrush.

Brushing step

1. Brush the outer surfaces of the teeth first. Brush the upper teeth downward and the lower teeth upward.

2. Brush the biting surface of the teeth. As mentioned earlier, don't use too much brush head because the brush head is too large and the rear molars or wisdom teeth can't be brushed well.

3. Brush the inside of the tooth, and gently clean the inner surface of the tooth with the bristles.

4. Gently brush the surface of the tongue to gently remove food debris and bacteria. More than 90% of the source of oral odor (bad breath) is in the teeth and tongue, but people often ignore the brushing of the tongue when brushing their teeth. Cleaning the tongue is very effective in removing bad breath.
