How to bring more leads into your business
Hi everyone, and I hope you had a great long weekend (sorry QLD & WA connections??. I want to share a few more ideas that may help you expand your client base so here is part 2 of the article. If you missed part 1, don't worry I've made it easy for you to find, part 1 link:
These ideas are not in any order of importance so pick the ones that suit you.
Advertising
There are many ways to advertise. Google Ads, Digital Billboards, Radio, Social media etc.
Before you start talking to marketing agencies or advertising agencies, please work through and document the response to these points as it will save you a lot of money, time and increase your response rate. If you don’t do this, an agency will want to go through this with you and of course, charge you for it.
1.??????Do you know who your ideal customer is
2.??????Do you have a Content plan – document some ideas on the strategy and topics you want your ideal customer to hear (more on this below)
3.??????Consider if you have the budget to have a multipronged plan to connect with your ideal customer – a combination of advertising, cold calling, email and social touches. If the answer is no, then start with one, and measure the results – if it’s not working after 6 months (you need to give one strategy the time to work), then move on to the next.
Content Plan
·????????This is a plan in which you use content (audio, visual, and/or written) for lead generation.
·????????Ensure your Content Plan is prepared and written in a way that is going to attract your ideal customer.
·????????What problem are you solving for them
·????????What makes you unique or different to other MSP’s who are saying the same thing
·????????While you may to tempted to launch a podcast since it's grown so much in the last few years, or launch a YouTube channel, find out first where your audience lives (what are they listening to, where are they getting their information from) It may be via LinkedIn or from an online newspaper for example. Ask some of your client’s what platforms or media they use. Otherwise, you may waste time creating content that either won't reach your audience or capture their attention.
Once you identify the best formats, start?creating a budget?to assess what resources you can allocate to execute this strategy.
·????????How will you manage to create and publish the content – who will create this, when will it go live
The overarching goal is that this needs to be systematic, high volume and obsessively tracked, and you need to faithfully execute on this strategy for at least 12 months. And don’t underestimate the language you use to communicate the Content as this should be delivered in a way that your ideal customer will understand. No jargon or acronyms please!

Headlines for Content could include:
·????????Don’t click that link, small businesses biggest risk is cyber crime
·????????As a business owner, what are you doing to ensure you don’t lose your IP to a cyber criminal?
·????????Are you backing your data daily or twice daily? If you’re hacked you need to have the latest information available
·????????World’s worst password!!! 123456 still being used by staff (do some research to back this up)
·????????ONLY 28% of Microsoft users have adopted multi factor authentication as thousands of small businesses are being attacked by cyber criminals
Visiting your ideal clients and following this up with phone calls (what we used to call in the old days canvassing)
This will be one of the key ways to bring on new clients. If you focus on a vertical market, then personally visit potential businesses in this space and then call them and provide a short story on how you specialise in their industry and give an example. Focus on pain points and prior to calling, do your homework and search for the decision maker on sites like LinkedIn and their website.
Webinars
Webinars will build your list of potential prospects. Promote this on your Social media, LinkedIn platform or send a mail out to a list of prospects that you have gathered.
?
Create and Grow a YouTube channel
YouTube has become a very popular source of information and focusing on a topic (eg: Ways to protect yourself from cybercriminals) may gain you lots of popularity and build your list of prospects.?
