A trauma is a bad event that has an impact on the person's psyche, causing intense fear and anxiety that can be difficult to cope with.

Trauma is defined as a very stressful, frightening, or distressing experience. that is often physically or emotionally invasive.

What are the Causes of Trauma?

Trauma can be any event that causes intense fear, horror, or distress. It can also be a physical injury. When people go through trauma, it often leads to mental and emotional problems. These problems are called post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

There are many causes of trauma. Some examples are:

-Childhood abuse and neglect

-Combat stress

-Natural disasters

-Terrorist attacks

-Sexual assault and rape

How Does Trauma Affect the Brain?

Generally speaking, traumatic events are life-threatening situations that shake up our sense of safety and security. Trauma can happen to anyone, but it is more common among people who have experienced violence or a natural disaster.

The way that trauma affects people varies from person to person. It may affect someone’s mood, thoughts, behaviors, relationships with others, and physical health.

The effects may be short-term or long-lasting depending on the individual’s experience of the event and their ability to cope with it afterwards.

What are the types of trauma?

The types of trauma are classified into three categories:

1) Acute Trauma: Acute trauma is any type of event that causes a person to experience intense fear, helplessness, or horror. These events can be physical (such as a car accident), or emotional (such as the death of a loved one). Acute trauma can cause physical and psychological symptoms such as flashbacks, nightmares, panic attacks, anxiety and depression.

2) Developmental Trauma: Developmental trauma is caused by experiences that happen during childhood. These events often have long-term effects on the child’s development and behavior. Examples of developmental trauma include parental neglect or abuse from caregivers.

3) Complex Trauma: Complex trauma occurs when someone has experienced more than one type of traumatic event

What are the four trauma responses?

Fight response is when the person gets angry and wants to confront the person who hurt them.

Flight response is when the person wants to run away from the situation and just not deal with it.

Freeze response is when a person doesn’t know how to respond or doesn’t want to do anything about it.

Fawn response is when a person becomes very passive and tries to appease the other person by giving in or doing what they say.

Why is it Important to Face Your Trauma?

We often have the idea that we should just forget about our past and move on. However, it is important to face your trauma in order to overcome it and heal.

We all experience trauma in our lives. It can be anything from a bad day at work to something more serious like sexual assault or abuse. Trauma can affect us on a physical, emotional and mental level.

And the effects of trauma are not only felt by those who experienced it, but by those around them as well.

It is important for people who have experienced trauma to face their past in order to heal from their traumatic experience and move forward with their life.

How to break free from trauma

based on my experience, you should track yourself if you are experiencing any common feelings or initiating any patterns, like prior trauma or a bad experience, then try the follow:

First: find a quiet place that you feel comfortable in.

Second: avoid having any sources of distraction around you.

Third: Reach out to one of your best friends and try to shorten the period and find a solution together. Gossiping can also help.

Fourth: If you are suffering from any chronic pain or mental illness, try to reach out to your doctor immediately to get support based on your medical condition.

Fifth: the best part is how to get out of the bubble, you can change your focus to anything else, which you are eager to know, watch, write, talk about without putting too much effort into it.
