How to bounce back
Failure is the main ingredient to achieve success. Do you remember when you were a child learning how to ride a bike? I can remember falling off the bike, crashing into trees, mail boxes and everything in between before I learned how to ride the bike. Each fall and each crash was simply part of the learning process on how to ride the bike. The key to successfully riding the bike was GETTING BACK ON THE BIKE immediately after each fall and trying again.
The same is true in business and in life. It is impossible for the ride to be smooth without a few bumps and bruises along the way. Your response the bumps and bruises is what will determine how great the ride ahead will be.
Like most, I have had my fair share of setbacks along the way. The key to pushing past the set back is to accept it, learn from it, and use it as fuel to fill your tank as you drive towards success.
How to bounce back.
1. Get back in the game. Immediately get back in the game. Now is not the time to sit on the sideline and think about the past. Now is the time to get on the field and use what you have learned from to become a champion.
2. Study. Evaluate your mistakes and adjust. Study what did not work in the past and always be looking for new ways to succeed and win. Learn something new every day that can be used to propel yourself towards your goals.
3. Surround yourself with great people. Look to surround yourself with great people that you can learn from and grow with. Your success will be measured by the talent and the execution of the team around you.
4. Hustle. Mark Cuban says " work like there is someone working 24 hours a day to take it all away from you." Work at a level so high and so fast that others do not want to compete against you.
5. Set Goals. Goal setting is your road map to success. Set your goals high and blow past them so you can set new goals. Put your goals in writing and begin to demolish them.
