Employee engagement is a crucial factor within a business, with some estimates suggesting that just one disengaged employee can result in a loss of $16 000 a year. Even though employee engagement is now on the radar for most businesses, the notion of what it is and how to improve it, is still misunderstood.
This week we look at employee engagement, aspects that influence it, as well as some tips for businesses to improve it.
You might be under the impression that your employees are engaged simply because of the environment they work in, how much they get paid or how enjoyable they find their jobs. However, these things don’t necessarily mean they're engaged with their work.
