Team Sugar Rush! The baking wizards are three time champions of the IBL - International Baking League. Their CEO Rimi is determined to win it this year as well. She realises, however, that this year will be very different, because she has a whole new team who come with a whole new set of challenges.. "I'm worried" she says to Lily, her People Officer.
Lily : "I understand Rimi. Firstly,
this team is lacking in new ideas. Secondly, no one seems to be challenging
anyone here. I mean, we need a 'Devil's advocate'. Third, we need someone who can
polish the edges..
Rimi :"There's a longer list. Let's get cracking with transforming this team's performance. Have you been able to reach Dr Ramsay - our partner in improving Team performance? His expertise in Belbin team Roles has helped me always. Can you get him to meet us asap?"
On a bright Tuesday morning ,exactly a year ago, Rimi &
Lily paid a visit to Dr Ramsay.
Rimi : "I need to win the IBL this
December, Dr Ramsay. You've got 6 months"
Ramsay : "Well, why don’t you
first tell me the challenges your team is facing?"
Rimi :"Let me jot them down on your whiteboard..”
Ramsay : "Perfect! Have you got the Belbin Team Role Profiling done for all your team members? That’".
Rimi was overjoyed this Christmas! The IBL was once again
conquered by her team! She called Dr Ramsay to thank him.
Ramsay : "Don’t thank me! Thank
your team! Like I always say, “NOBODY IS PERFECT, BUT A TEAM CAN BE.”
Rimi : "We have a meeting with
Richard our Chairman, and the entire IBL team, next week. He wants to know how we
turned the tables. He wants to hear from the team. I want you to be
there."
Ramsay : "Certainly, Rimi. Look
forward to meeting Richard, and listening to 'Team Sugar Rush to boast
their victory!”
