The thing about being a therapist is that sometimes even though I know what's best for my clients, they don't want my advice because it clashes with their beliefs or makes them feel uncomfortable in some way. So instead of forcing my opinion on them (which would be bad), I have learned how best to communicate with each person so that we can find common ground and work together toward an outcome that benefits both parties involved in this process called "therapy."
