How to become a "Successful Senior Product Manager" in a reputed IT company?

Let me make the basics very clear before you start reading my article.

The Product Owner (PO) owns the Product backlog, and it is a tactical role. POs help the team to execute the high-level shared vision. PO is the internal voice of the customer and also the Business Value (BV) maximizer. However, think about the point from where the PO gets all his or her inputs for BAU. That's where the role of a Product Manager comes into place!

Product Manager (PM) owns the Product roadmap itself and it's a strategic role. The Product Manager defines the Product Vision and sets the product strategy.

This article is for "Product Managers in IT" and in this article wherever you see PM it's Product Manager and NOT Project Manager!

Becoming a successful Senior Product Manager in the IT industry requires a diverse skill set that combines technical knowledge, business acumen, leadership abilities, and effective communication skills.
