Every company in the world is looking for the Rainmaker. He is the guy that outperforms everyone else in sales all the time. People draw to him like bees to honey!
The standard rules of sales seem not to apply to him. Investors suddenly don't ask any questions and throw there money blindly at him. Corporate accounts that had an Iron door with a gate keeper tougher than most mother in laws find themselves walking out of the office with a major six figure deal.
So we ask ourselves what drug is that guy on and how can I get some quick? What is he doing right and what am I doing wrong?
Here are a few tips to become the rainmaker.
Tip number one. Stay away from negative energy. Get away from anyone who doesn't believe in you or your strengths. Misery loves company and you have to stand up and cut loose from negativity.
Tip number two. Honesty! There are plenty of slime ball salesman out there that would sell there mother if the price was right. Be different invest in your customers. If the product isn't for them be man enough to tell him and explain why. The potential customer will most definitely refer you and most of the times the referral leads to a much bigger sale than what you came in looking to close.
Tip number three and four. Work hard and have patience. It takes time to build a healthy network however if you keep to the first two rules and you do not fall to the temptations of the weak you will most definitely succeed! When you succeed do me a favor buy yourself a great umbrella because it will pour!!
