In the week just passed, addictions, burnout, frustrations, worry and stress were dominant issues many of the clients I was coaching and mentoring faced. So, for this week's newsletter topic, I felt called to share how I've managed to increase my client's productivity by up to 50%. It's all about setting smarter goals, identifying authentic values, and working smarter rather than harder.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, and frustrated, it's time to learn how to manage your emotions.
I've worked with companies of all sizes and individuals from all professional backgrounds, and I can tell you one thing for sure: when employees (or entrepreneurs) feel down or frustrated, it leads to low morale and poor engagement, productivity, and performance. But as I facilitated the process to identify the source of their frustrations and work through them, they got back on track!
It is given that when we're happy in our jobs, we tend to be more productive. When we're comfortable at home but stressed out at work? Not so much. So what if I told you there was a way for me to make your days longer, more productive, and more fulfilling? That's right—you'd be interested in that kind of information!
Well, guess what? There is! And I'm going to teach it to you today.
Do you ever feel like there are just not enough hours in the day?
You know what I mean. You have a never-ending to-do list, and there are always more tasks to add to it. It's easy to get stressed out when you feel like you don't have enough time to get everything done.
But that doesn't have to be the case! With this five-step method, you can dissolve emotional charges, which will help you become more productive and make more calls—all while getting more done.
It all starts with identifying what your authentic values are so that you can set smarter goals and achieve them faster than ever before.
When I wrote my book A Path to Wisdom , How To Live a Balanced, Healthy and Peaceful Life, my aim was for you to be more healthy, energetic, and with a sense of inner peace. Many of the readers and clients started to share how productive they have become as a result of using the TJSeMethod: ALARM? twenty-five principles to dissolve emotional charges & become a productivity powerhouse. One of my main focuses was helping people identify what causes inner burnout, conflicts, and stress. By identifying their authentic values, they could set smarter goals and achieve them faster than ever before. Once we know our emotional triggers, we can also know our injected and authentic values, and then we can start setting smarter goals for ourselves, and we'll know exactly where we need to focus our energies.
The Five-Step, The Unfakeable Code? Method, Dissolves Emotional Charges
The Five-Step Method you can read more about in The Unfakeable Code? book is a way of dissolving the emotional charges that cause stress and burnout in your life.
Step 1: Find the trigger. The first step is to identify what triggered you. Was it something someone said or did? Did something happen at work, home, or school make you feel angry? Maybe there was an argument with a friend, family member or partner? Perhaps it was something else entirely?
Step 2: Find the memory that made you feel like that. After identifying what triggered your feelings, let's find some time when those feelings were last activated so we can figure out where they came from and why they are still lingering around today.
For example, let's say your girlfriend/boyfriend was late for work again this morning which meant she/he had an argument with you because you didn't like how long she/he took getting ready (which usually leaves you feeling frustrated). This feeling would be stored as an emotional charge within your relationship because they kept making excuses instead of accepting responsibility for their actions (which also led to other arguments later on).
Step 1. Find the trigger
·??????Find the trigger.
·??????Find the memory that made you feel like that.
·??????Look for any physical reaction, like a tightness in your chest or a pain in your stomach.
·??????Go back to the memory and pretend it's happening right now, with all of its intensity and magnitude intact.
·??????Ask yourself, "What else?", "What is the benefit?", "What are the drawbacks?" Repeat for as long as you need until there are no more triggers left to discover or emotions stranded to uncover from this incident (or whatever other issue is causing stress).
Step 2. Find the memory that made you feel like that.
Now that you have a list of the memories causing you to feel like this, it's time to find the memory that made you feel like that.
There are many different ways to do this. Some people find it helpful to write down all of their memories and then go through each one, thinking about how it makes them feel. Others prefer talking about the memories with someone else or writing down what they remember in a journal. Still, others may want to use an app such as AncestryDNA (or another genealogy site) where they can trace their DNA back through generations until they come across someone who was feeling similar emotions when they were alive.
Whatever method works best for YOU, start there! You don't need anything fancy; just something simple will do first (e.g., pen and paper).
Step 3. Find any physical reaction
If you've been feeling the physical effects of your stress and frustration, consider a few things.
·??????What body parts are affected? For example, do you have headaches or stomach aches? Do your shoulders tense up when you become anxious about situations in which there isn't enough time to finish everything on your list (and there is no possible way for everyone else on the planet to get off their butts and help out)? If so, then it might be helpful for you to learn some relaxation techniques such as deep breathing exercises or meditation. The goal is to bring down the intensity of these reactions so that they don't sabotage your productivity.
·??????How does this affect my health overall? If specific emotional reactions cause more tension in certain parts of our body than others, this can lead us to some pretty severe health problems later on, like heart disease! So take note: learning how to manage emotions like anger and frustration with calmness rather than letting them see the inside us will make all sorts of positive changes in both our mental health AND our physical well-being!

Step 4. Go back to the memory and pretend it's happening right now.
Next, imagine the event happening again. This time, however, you're in control. As you relive the event from your memory and experience it again, notice what happens to your emotions and thoughts when you imagine it this time. Please pay attention to how your body feels when thinking about this event and what it does.
Now imagine yourself as an observer watching yourself having those same emotions and thoughts about the past event. Notice how that feels compared to experiencing them yourself in real-time when it happened or just now imagining them happening again (if you guessed it from a third-person perspective).
Please take note of what differences there are between these two perspectives on an emotional level, like sadness or anger; how they feel differently depending on whether they were experienced directly (first-person) or secondarily (second-person).
Step 5. Ask yourself, "What else?", "What is the benefit?", "What are the drawbacks?" Repeat for as long as you need.
Now, it's time to ask yourself the other question that will help you change your adverse reaction into something positive: "What else?", "What is the benefit?", "What are the drawbacks?"
The answer is always bigger than we think. When you ask these questions, you begin to see all possible solutions or ways to react in any situation. There are always many other ways to be productive and eliminate burnout, frustration, worry and stress from your life! You can change your reaction, change your response, or change your perspective or attitude.
For many people, burnout and stress have become a way of life. Productivity suffers because of it, as well as overall health and happiness. You can rewire your brain to move past this chronic stress or burnout when you understand the steps to achieve it. It's time to make your days longer and more productive
The five-step method is easy to remember and can be used when you find yourself experiencing stress or burnout.

·??????Go back to the memory and pretend it's happening right now (this step will take some practice)
·??????Ask yourself, "What else?", "What is the benefit?" and "What are the drawbacks?" Repeat this process until you think of something other than what you have been focusing on.

And finally, remember that the beginning is most often the most challenging part. If you can survive the initial plunge towards being more energised, productive, and inspired, you can prove that you can get there.?
