How to become more introverted!
I have been accused of talking too much throughout my life. Primarily by my older brother and sometimes my father. I am the male version of a chatty Cathy, a talkie Tommy if you will. If you find yourself in social situations being too lively and everyone is getting a bit annoyed, here are a few tips on being an introvert. We’ve all read articles on how to be more extroverted, but what if sometimes you want to say less.
If you’re an extrovert, you may find that being an introvert is a bit of a challenge. Here are some tips for how to be more of an introvert.
Talk less. Your natural inclination is probably to talk a lot, and that’s fine if you’re talking with someone who really wants to hear what you have to say. But if your conversation partner is less than enthusiastic about what you’re saying, take the hint and shut up! It’ll make things easier for both of you.
Be less conspicuous. If you’re in a group, don’t expect anyone else there to notice that you’ve arrived — even if they did notice, they won’t care enough to come over and say hello to you. You need to make sure that everyone in the room does not see how awesome and interesting you are so they will not want to talk with you! Some ideas: do not wear bright colors or stand out from the crowd somehow (e.g., by wearing a hat).
Be more reflective and self-aware. Take time for making decisions instead of just blurting them out immediately after hearing them inside your head; this will allow others time to offer up ideas that you may not have thought of.
If you’re an extroverted person, it can be hard to understand what it’s like to be introverted. But if you’re the latter, you know that being introverted has its own set of challenges — and it’s no surprise that people who are in the “extroverted camp” don’t always understand those challenges.

Here are some tips on how to be more introverted:
1. Take time alone every day.
2. Don’t feel obligated to talk all the time.
3. Find a quiet corner at work or school where you can do your best work.
4. If someone asks you a question and they seem really interested in hearing your response, take a deep breath and ignore them.
Keep practicing, you’ll be well on your way to saying nearly nothing in no time.
