How to become a LinkedIn Trainer and earn a 6 figure income

When Michael approached me to teach him LinkedIn, I had no idea that it would turn into a thriving business with hundreds of clients. Why? Because I am in the agency space. I do not teach people how to do things, I do it for them.

There is a massive market that is only getting bigger for people who want to learn LinkedIn hands on! These people are often wealthy and have a budget for hiring a trainer to teach them how to leverage LinkedIn to gain more influence, be consistent, and drive revenue for their business.

I was already closing deals from LinkedIn using my own strategies that worked for me. Getting people on the phone, staying top of mind, and closing big deals.

All I did was take the stuff that was working OFFLINE with my networking efforts and started using them online as well. Like staying top of mind, making intros, and adding value to my network.

My goal with LinkedIn is for 1000 people to see me 1000 times a year. That will turn into a few clients along the way. It's turned into an avalanche of leads and profitable revenue - not just for me but for many people in my network because I can make valuable introductions.

Want to learn how to become a LinkedIn trainer and earn a very respectable living by teaching what you love doing already? The first step is to start DOING IT yourself.

If you are not Posting, Engaging and Messaging daily on LinkedIn, you are not going to be able to be successful at training others to do it. The best trainers are the ones that actually practice what they preach.

Next, if you are already doing what you tell other people to do, you now need to define your offering. What aspect of LinkedIn will you be training people on? I know people who just teach profile optimization. Some people teach how to DM. Some people teach how to post on LinkedIn and get posts to go viral. I even know someone that build a 6 figure client base by teaching people how to create and post video on LinkedIn.

Another important point is for you to pick your target market. There are millions of people on LinkedIn but if you are training everyone, you might as well train no one. Pick a specific audience. It might be women, who are in sales, in NYC. It might be web designers in the US that need more leads. You might want to target people in BNI. There are 30k people in the US. There are so many people you can pick from but pick a specific market so you can get more referrals and more traction faster.

Now that you have your product niche, and you understand who you are training it's time get your first 10 clients.

After Michael hired me to help him with his LinkedIn, I decided that if I really wanted to train people, I needed to help at least 100 people before I created a course and started a business. So I reached out to my network and started training people for free.

I helped 100 people with a dashboard for their LinkedIn and right after that, I started getting more clients that I could possibly handle - so we started a course and a business.

How many clients do you want? How much will you charge each client?

If you support 10 people and get 10 amazing testimonials, you will be able to go out and find more people that are exactly like them pretty quickly that also need that type of support.

For example, you might help 10 successful web designers learn how to use LinkedIn to post daily. You teach them everything - and now they have a content calendar, and are just crushing it on LinkedIn.

In order for you to get your next 10 clients @ say $200 a week each (8k/m = 100k a year) you will need to reach out to 100 to 500 web designers. Show them what you did for your 10 clients and try to get 10 more.

They might not all pay you $800 a month at first but you can start anywhere and move up quickly as you are getting results and are reaching out to more people.

How many people in your target market are you currently connected to?

Probably not enough.

When I asked myself, how many people was I connected to in NY, I realized that I only had a handful of NYC connections so I added 10,000. Now I have enough connections to last me FOREVER with my own networking and business development efforts.

How many people are you connected to in your target area?

Finally, the most important element for you to succeed is making sure that you are investing in your own education.

I have spent thousands of dollars buying LinkedIn training courses and marketing training course to learn what other people are doing. I realized that my strategy is VERY DIFFERENT than anyone else's and no one is teaching our Social Sellin’ System.

Join our course and meet other LinkedIn trainers that are doing the same www.socialsellin.com. You will not only learn but you will meet people who are already investing in LinkedIn education and can afford to invest in your training services.
