How to become a LinkedIn Top Voice

How to become a LinkedIn Top Voice

If you are looking to become recognised by LinkedIn as the go-to person in your space,

Collaborative articles are a great way to earn these badges.

LinkedIn has created special pages where you can browse, interact, and comment on collaborative articles in your skill set.

Follow the pages in the skills list below that interest you and get notified about new collaborative articles as they are published and add insightful contributions.

By consistently offering valuable input, you may earn a Community Top Voice badge (e.g., “Top Mobile Application Voice”) as recognition for being a highly insightful contributor to collaborative articles within a particular skill.

You can even earn badges for multiple skills, and these will be combined into one badge on your LinkedIn profile. Currently, there is no limit to the number of skills for which you can earn a badge.

In order to keep the badge beyond 60 days, your contributions must remain relevant and original, and other LinkedIn members must continue to find your contributions within that particular skill set insightful.

2) Get Collaborating

Select a collaborative article that is relevant to your skill set and add your perspective. Each article is broken down into different sections, allowing you to go into further detail.

3) Be Unique

LinkedIn wants to know your unique perspective, so reference your past experience and personal thoughts to make your contribution stand out.

4) Acknowledge others

Like and react to what the other contributors are saying!

5) Be Consistent

Keep it up! This isn’t going to happen overnight. So consistently add your perspective and continue to interact.

6) Keep it

Once you’ve earned your badge, shout it from the rooftops and do a LinkedIn post about it!

Good luck, and let me know how you get on!

Here's what I learned from helping more than 500 people get the badge. Preparing for launch, I knew I wanted to? Get that shiny badge. It felt like a reward that would prove me I'm better than other product marketers. Over a couple months, I wrote down over 70 contributions to get into the top 1%. I got more than 300 likes on my contributions, and I'm on top of the page for more than ten articles.? My followers went from 1.3k to 3k and counting. Afterwards, I wrote a 6 minutes long tutorial on how to get it and it helped more than 500 people. In addition to the copywriting techniques I used and described, There's one rule that's made me a top voice in my niche (most product marketing managers I know are great writers.) Here's the golden rule:? I shouldn't spend more time consuming content than I do creating it." My profile has a link to that tutorial
