?? Will AI replace 95% of the work done by content creators?

A topic that scares all content creators, but we must face reality, adapt, and seize opportunities.

Sam Altman (ChaGPT) has stated that AI will perform 95% of the work of creators and marketing professionals within 3 to 5 years:

"AI will handle 95% of what marketers currently rely on agencies, strategists, and creatives for."

As a reminder: Sam Altman raised $13 billion to found ChatGPT, based on a simple theory: the only way to know if artificial intelligence will work is to invest a huge amount of money in its development and see the result...

$13 billion and 4 years later, AI is everywhere.

So maybe it's worth focusing on it (maybe ??).

In this regard, I remind you that I will be launching a series specifically dedicated to artificial intelligence for content creators, so subscribe to not miss the train!

?? How To Beat YouTube? The New MrBeast 2024 Strategy Revealed! ???♂???

I can guarantee you that these new tips will help you improve your video content strategy on YouTube, and you already know that with me, there's zero BS!

The last tip will blow your mind, trust me, I discovered it recently.

So, as you've understood, this week we're analyzing MrBeast's 2024 strategy.

After observing his recent changes and listening to his latest interviews, I've discovered quite a few new things.

I'll share them with you today in 3 parts.

Well, we all know MrBeast' success.

No need to review his journey once again.

I'll just list 2 of his recent achievements to keep in mind that he's still at the top when it comes to the YouTube game:

  • A YouTube Award for his 200 Million subscribers: MrBeast is the first to receive this unique award from YouTube for reaching 200 million subscribers.
  • New record for the highest number of views: He has set a new record for the highest number of views in 24 hours for a non-music video.

If you want a more detailed recap, you can check out this issue of the newsletter, where I dedicated a deep analysis to MrBeast's tips for content creators, after analyzing over 100 hours of videos.

Alright, as usual, let's keep it quick and efficient.

Grab your coffee, let's dive right in!

?? PART 1: The Ultimate Shorts Trick

Posting Shorts on YouTube is no longer just advice but a necessity.

There's nothing left to prove.

Even though it has been widely criticized due to the low conversion rate.

Shorts can accumulate a lot of views but bring in very few subscribers, unlike a long-form video.

But once again, we shouldn't stop there.

We need to test and find different approaches.

By analyzing how MrBeast uses Shorts, here's the strategy:

  • Post multiple Shorts derived from your latest long-form video.
  • Use the "related video" feature on Shorts to promote this longer video.
  • Link all of your recent Shorts to this last video to redirect viewers.
  • By redirecting a large number of people to this last video, the algorithm will understand that many people are watching it.
  • Thus, the algorithm will deduce that people enjoy this video and therefore promote it to a wider audience.

?? PART 2: Storytelling

If you've been following me for a while, you know that storytelling is one of my favorite marketing approaches.

Knowing how to tell a story is an art.

It's not necessarily innate; some people do it very well naturally, some don't.

Anyway, if it's not your case, it's like everything else, it can be learned.

So yes, you'll tell me it's not new; I've talked about it many times in the past.

Especially when it comes to MrBeast and the narrative structure of his videos.

But since the goal of your long videos is to retain viewers' attention, we'll emphasize and analyze our dear friend's specific approach.

Of course, the content of your videos must interest viewers above all, but there are a few rules to follow to maintain their attention.

This is where storytelling is very important.

By re-analyzing our friend's latest videos, I discovered one of his new tricks.

Here's a recap of the structure of his videos so you can be inspired and create your videos on a similar model:

  • The first 5 seconds: the hookThe first 5 to 10 seconds are the most important; this is where everything is played out. You have to convince the viewer to stay. Use this moment to set up a "hook," something that makes them want to continue.
  • Give a quick preview of what awaits the viewer in your videoUse the following seconds of your intro by giving a quick summary of what will happen in your video. This allows viewers to know what to expect and creates curiosity to discover more.
  • The FOMO effect: Fear Of Missing OutAt the end of the intro, make the viewer want to stay until the end by announcing something worth discovering - it could be a special bonus, a revelation, an upcoming update, something that makes them want to stay until the end - create the desire to stay to not miss out on this "something special."
  • FOMO repeated throughout the videoThis is where our friend MrBeast is very clever: he replicates this FOMO feeling throughout his videos. He doesn't just establish it only in the intro, but he regularly repeats this type of structure throughout the video. To put it simply, it's as if every 5 minutes he quickly announces something that will happen in the next few minutes. This makes viewers want to stay and watch. And he constantly reproduces this announcement effect, so as viewers, we're always encouraged to continue watching so as not to miss out.

(Well, on this last point, it's not necessarily easy to implement in all video formats, it's certainly much simpler in an entertainment video than in a DIY video, for example.

I haven't tested it yet, but I'll analyze and look into it more closely; there must be a way to implement this FOMO repeated structure in all types of formats.)

?? PART 3: The New "Video Thumbnail"

Yeah, I didn't know what to call it; it's clearly not a term that exists.

But here's where the real new trick lies that I discovered with MrBeast: autoplay kills thumbnails.

You'll understand.

The "image" thumbnail is clearly important.

You know that, I'm not telling you anything new.

A good thumbnail should follow at least these 3 elements to encourage clicks:

  1. Be clear
  2. Be easy to understand
  3. Spark curiosity

But the new trick concerns autoplay.

Autoplay, you know what it is; we all face it when we're on YouTube looking for a video to watch.

The app will automatically play the video that appears on your screen, showing the first few seconds.

And that's where everything comes into play.

You have to see this autoplay as "the new thumbnail"!

Yup, your potential viewers are almost no longer confronted with the classic thumbnail.

At least they see it much less longer.

Look at this quick preview, you'll immediately get it:

So it's even more important to build the beginning of your video following the advice from the previous section, where I mention the importance of the first few seconds.

It's necessary for these first few seconds to be appealing in terms of sound.

Meaning that if a viewer voluntarily starts your video, they should receive clear and impactful information from the sound of your voice, for example.

But it also needs to be visually appealing.

Because, depending on the user's device configuration, they might not necessarily be exposed to the sound of your video preview.

This can depend, for example, on whether the viewer is using YouTube on the TV app or the mobile app.

So take advantage of this opportunity to stack the odds in your favor and display a visually impactful graphic element in the first few seconds, which will encourage viewers to click to continue watching.

And yes, this is indeed a new type of video thumbnail.

Therefore, approach the first few seconds of your videos with these 3 points in mind:

  1. Act as a thumbnail
  2. Encourage viewers to click
  3. Encourage viewers to stay

And I guarantee you that in the future, this will become as important and logical as creating "image thumbnails".

You know me, I'm constantly keeping an eye out and analyzing all the latest trends.

I closely follow MrBeast's strategies, but I admit that this last point I would never have discovered if I hadn't stumbled upon George XI's video, so a big thanks to him; I recommend checking out his channel!

Alright, that's all for this week; don't hesitate to put these latest findings into practice.

Obviously, there's nothing magical; as usual, your content must be interesting and creative above all else, otherwise these tips will have little effect.

And don't forget: content creation is a long-term game.

Very soon, I'll be launching a special series on "AI secrets and tools for content creators" so subscribe to not miss out!

Until then, have a great week and take care of yourself ??

Yeah, I didn't have much inspiration for this week's photo, and Hello Kitty showed up as the first choice, lol ??
