Leaving one's home after years or even decades is not easy. Packing up photos and wrapping keepsakes collected over the years can be painful and emotionally draining. For seniors, saying goodbye to a home is more than just about changing a location. For many, it is about saying goodbye to privacy, independence and a sense of complete autonomy.
Choosing the right retirement residence can be a daunting and overwhelming task as families try to find a place that meets their loved ones' current needs while simultaneously planning and predicting future needs.
This week on CJAD800 I interview my co-host Matt DelVechio, certified professional consultant on aging and owner of Lianas Services . We will discuss how to choose the right retirement home and how to avoid the most common pitfalls. Listen in or live stream Sunday, April 16th 4-5pm EST to Life Unrehearsed.
